The following is a brief review of the two memorials in the PARISH CHURCH of St NICHOLAS, CUXWOLD.
SYDNEY BRYANT
A brass plaque set in the north wall of the nave some 140 cm from floor and measuring approximately 30cm x 44cm bearing black lettering in block capitals.

Lt 180715 Sydney Bryant served in the 7th Battalion of the Royal Ulster Rifles and was killed in action during the re-occupation of Burma. He is buried in the Tankkyau War Cemetery outside Rangoon, Burma (now Myanmar).
HENRY THOROLD
There is also a white marble tablet affixed to a black slate plate some 125cm x 92cm at a height of 200 cm off the floor. It comprises a cross on top, two Regimental Colours, crossed and unfurled, with a sword and rifle with bayonet protruding from underneath. It also carries a representation of a two clasp Crimea Medal. Lightly incised in black seraphed capitals are the words:
