To learn more about Lincolnshire’s military past in both the First and Second Wars vistit Ian Jackson’s site.  Here you will find loads on the 8th and 10th Battalions of the Lincolnshire Regiment in the Great  War and the RAF in the Second War.

If you are simply interested in matters of the Great War visit the web’s premier sites - that of the Western Front Association, and that of Chris Baker.  Here you will find so much on the 1914-18 conflict that you will need to visit no other site!

Sites that may be of similar interest which are worth a visit are the memorials of Malvern Worcesershire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire.

Whilst carrying out research for this site, I came upon the story of AD872, a 144 Squadron Hampden that crashed here in my village during the night of 20/21st September 1941.  This is my tribute to the crew of that aircraft.
